Games Workshop keeps trickling in infantry armies that are ready to fight as the Boarding Action Warhammer 40,000 mode is well upon us. The three new boxes that will be available to preorder very soon include Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas, Boarding Patrol: Adeptus Custodes, and not least, Boarding Patrol: Thousand Sons.
Elite Troops, Interdimensional Horrors and Penance
All of these are pretty much our favorite armies, too, but seeing them take to the new skirmish mode that simulates the taking over of an enemy spaceship in close-quarter battles brings with it a whole new level of satisfaction. The Adepta Sororitas box is coming with a Canoness who will lead an army of 5 Celestian Sacresants, 9 Sisters Repentia, a Repentia Superior and 10 Battle Sisters, along with a Cherub.
If your army is not penitent enough, the sisters would find out. Then you have the Adeptus Custodes, husking knights in golden armors and mechanic bikes, and the Emperor’s most loyal and feared troops. The squad is led by Captain-General Trajann Valoris, 3 Allarus Custodians and 5 Custodian Guards. The Custodes really do not need more to dominate close fights and benefit from narrow spaces.
Last but not least, you have the Thousand Sons who will be coming with 20 Rubric Marines in their full armor and 2 Chaos Spawns that will be looking to tear enemies from limb to limb and then some. There have been a lot of reveals over the past month, with the Boarding Patrol boxes for Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines, Death Guard, Genestealer Cults, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Chaos Daemons all revealed.
This comes around the same time that fans are also preparing for the arrival of Warhammer 40,000’s 10th edition which is expected to be announced during Adepticon later in March.
