CMON has revealed a new mini-expansion for Zombicide Second Edition that features the heroes from Supernatural, the acclaimed TV series that follows Sam and Dean Winchester, tasked with saving the world – and nearly ending it on multiple occasions.
Sam and Dean are usually in the demon-slaying business, so zombies are a bit new to them, but this is alright as fans are bound to have a blast playing either in the apocalyptic event. The Winchesters will do their best to cleave through throngs of shuffling undead, brandishing memorable weapons from the TV series such as Death Scythe and Mjolnir, all part of Pack #1 of the Winchester expansion.
Yet, it’s not just the Winchesters who are coming to the zombie-slaying galore, as there are other characters, too, including Jack Kline, their dad, John, and not least – Bobby Singer. These will be found in Pack #2 and feature two weapon cards, including Ruby’s knife and Angel Blade.
CMON’s Zombicide Franchise Keeps on Giving
There is a third pack too, which will focus on the Supernatural franchise, summoning the forces of Heaven and Hell. Pack #3 introduces the show’s favorite angel Castiel and the demon Crowley. Crowley will swing for both teams, though, adding some cunning, vile and betrayal to the gameplay. Each of the packs will also pit the characters against some specific opponents beyond the zombie tides.
The three packs are listed and is going to hit retail on July 21, 2023. This is the latest of a series of expansions and additions CMON has announced for its iconic system and game. Last week, the company revealed one of its most whimsical add-ons to date, Monty Python.
Earlier in the year, CMON also introduced a slightly altered version of Zombicide during the successful Kickstarter campaign for Zombicide: White Death. The campaign ended up raising $3,839,614 from 19,303 demonstrating the staying power of the most iconic zombie-killing game of all time that has graced the tabletop.
