The Unmatched series are only getting bigger, and more legendary by the box – two more Unmatched sets will now be arriving in the third and fourth quarter of the year, with Unmatched: Brains and Brawn hitting retail shelves first, followed by Unmatched: Sun’s Origins second.

More Marvel, More Epic Samurais

The first set is based in the Marvel universe, and it will bring Doctor Stranger, Spider-Man and She-Hulk into the game’s universe, each with their own unique abilities tailored to the Unmatched battle system. This box is adding to a well-established pantheon of Marvel heroes who have been introduced to the system, particularly with the Teen Spirit and Hell’s Kitchen boxes already available for purchase.

The trio of new characters are bound to bring their own unique take on the battlefield and offer fresh challenges and stratagems to explore. Besides, it won’t be long before you will be able to plunge any hero in Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze, the upcoming campaign box for the series.

As to Sun’s Origin, players will get to play with Oda Nobunaga and Tomoe Gozen, two of Japan’s most fearsome leaders. While Restoration Games is shifting new products into retail, some will unavoidably have to take their leave. The company has confirmed that it will have to withdraw Robin Hood vs. Bigfoot and Cobble & Fog.

Part of this has to do with the upkeep costs of having all games in print – a feat that can easily take on monstrous proportions when you are running a battle system as rich as Unmatched. Regardless, the upcoming boxes and projects promise to keep Unmatched fans well-stocked with many great things to do and see in the game!
