Star Wars Villainous, the Ravensburger game set in the popular Villainous game system, is getting a new expansion. The announcement celebrated May 4, the international day of Star Wars. The new extension of the base game will now introduce the Scum and Villainy expansion, the first for this particular series, that introduces the character of Boba Fett, the original Mandalorian in the franchise and series.

Two more characters are also to be added with the expansion, but they won’t be revealed u until later this year. Boba Fett is the notorious bounty hunter who attempted to murder a number of protagonists throughout the movies and was in the employment by The Empire.

Although fans of the Star Wars franchise have enjoyed the reimagination of The Mandalorian clan, Boba Fett has vastly been regarded as an anti-hero and a villain, a fitting addition to the game’s first expansion.

Ravensburger has published the original Star Wars Villainous and it has also been involved in the publication of other similar blends of intellectual property and board games and systems. The studio published Disney Villainous, Marvel Villainous: Infinite Power, and not least, Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side, which is one of the best Star Wars board games to try.

The Villainous series focuses on “mischievous” gameplay whereby players will step in the shoes of some of the most well-known villains of a franchise, or in the case of Star Wars, Darth VaderKylo RenMoff GideonGeneral Grievous or Asajj Ventress

Each of these characters will then have their own nefarious end to achieve, and players will attempt to advance the treacherous agenda before the other anti-heroes in order to secure a victory and triumph as the most prominent villain of the series.

The addition of new heroes, such as Boba Fett will definitely be a nice touch to the series. The other two characters may still be kept under wraps, but players do have some basic ideas as to who may be coming next. Each player will work hard against the other striving to achieve their own ends.

Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy will be released in August, and the retail price is set at $30. The game is designed by Prospero Hall and Michael Mulvihill and illustrated by Piotr Rossa and Lucas Torquato.
