You better strap in, because Corvus Belli is bringing out REM Racers, a new family-friendly racing board game. The game is built to simulate an actual race with beautiful remote controllers to steer the action, but still sticks to solid principles of tabletop experience without any electronics getting in the way of the world’s most powerful gaming chip – your imagination. Cough.

Join a Race of the Future and Be the First to Finish

Players will assume the roles of drivers and bear down on the futuristic tracks with their cutting-edge vehicles propelled by different engines and technology. The goal as you can imagine is to beat everyone else to the finish line.

Drivers will each have access to a variety of tools to steer their vehicles and make sure that they outstrip the competition in this intense race. Players will have a control pad, movement templates and a controller to help them take a steep turn and press on when they need to overtake an opponent in split seconds.

The vehicles will also be upgradeable with a range of odd bits and bobs to make sure that you are cranking out the best performance out of your car. Equipment cards will help you not only rev up your speed and balance but also throw in some hazards across the racetrack so that opponents will have trouble navigating safely.

Vehicles and controllers will have different stats and they will similarly feature special abilities that you can muster in the heat of the race to gain an important advantage. The game is suitable for 2-5 players and an official release date or price have not yet been released.
