Nagash’s Ossiarch Bonereapers, one of the most terrifying martial forces in the mortal realms are coming to the tabletop, hitting pre-order on April 8, 2023.
New Faction – New Battletome – New Surprises
The first in the line of the new Ossiarch Bonereapers releases begin with Battletome: Ossiarch Bonereapers. Locked inside are updated rules, war scrolls, and new Path to Glory rules. Pitched battle profiles (that can best be described as scenarios) are also included.
For lovers of luxury, Games Workshop will release a limited edition. The limited edition of the battle tome will feature a soft-touch cover, gilt page edges, gold foil blocking, and a luxury red ribbon page marker. Those who wish to obtain it will have to be quick, as it is limited to just 500 copies.
Following the “simplified, not simple” path of the 10th Edition, the Ossiarch Bonereapers will have their very own Warscroll Cards, a pack of 24 skill and ability reference cards, which also come with two token boards for all their rules and special effects. Easy, comfortable, and practical.
The New Vanguard Pack Spearheads the Undead Advance
But that’s not all – Ossiarch hosts will also have their very own vanguard pack. Introducing Vanguard: Ossiarch Bonereapers, a set that includes:
- A force of 20 Mortek Guard – soul-constructs shaped from impenetrable osseous armor and armed with life-draining nadirite weapons, capable of crushing any foe to dust.
- 5 Kavalos Deathriders – the heavy cavalry of the Ossiarch Bonereaper legions, they are perfectly capable of dishing out deadly charges and trample every adversary under the hooves of their deadly macabre steeds.
- A Gothizzar Harvester – a truly gruesome monstrosity of bone and metal, this gruesome behemoth can be armed with either soul-cleaver sickles or soul-crusher bludgeons. Apart from its obvious destructive potential, it can also collect the valuable bones of anyone slain nearby, to repair friendly Ossiarch units.
- A Mortisan Soulreaper – the most destructive member of the Mortisan order, equally effective with its spells and powerful scythe.
This battle line is perfectly fit to conquer the Mortal Realms for Nagash, the Supreme Lord of the Undead.
The Mortisan Ossifector Enters the Fray
As a final surprise, alongside Vanguard: Ossiarch Bonereapers, Games Workshop will also release a Mortisan Ossifector figure. Apart from being a gorgeous-looking model, this unit is quite terrifying, as it is capable of adding buffs to various bone constructs on the battlefield. This includes the terrifying Mortek Crawler skeletal siege engines that the Mortisan Ossifectors usually tend to.
The Ossiarch Bonereapers will not be the only forces of Nagash to enter the Age of Sigmar tabletop world, as they will be joined by the Soulblight Gravelords. But that is a tale for another time.
