Games Workshop has confirmed that two new Combat Patrol boxes, Adeptus and Mechanics, are now available for preorder from the Games Workshop website or from a local games shop. The new boxes feature updated models and have introduced slight changes to the available models from the previous boxes.

Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus Get Facelift in 10th Edition

Combat Patrol: Necrons now comes with the Amonhotekh’s GuardOverlord with Tachyon Arrow, a Canoptek Doomstalker, 3 Skorpekh Destroyers with a Plasmacyte, 3 Scarab Swarms and 10 Necron Warriors. The release also coincides with the release of the Warhammer 40K’s 10th edition Necrons Codex which will have everything you need to know about your Necron army, along with 47 data sheets, five detachments, Combat Patrol and Crusade rules.

You may also download the Combat Patrol rules separately if you prefer and not buy the Codex. If you want to bring more comfort to your 40K experience, the new Datasheet Cards: Necrons are now also available to buy, decking out your Necron army with everything you would need.

This comes on top of the Games Workshop official 40K app which allows you to look at all of this and more directly from your mobile device. Games Workshop has also introduced a dedicated Necrons dice set for you to explore with 16 six-sided dice cast in a pearlsided pale-orange.

The Combat Patrol: Adeptus Mechanics is a similarly neat bundle in a crescent wrapping. The box comes with a Tech-priest Manipulus and 3 Serberys Sulphurhounds. There are 5 Pteraxii Sterylizors, and 10 Skitarii Vanguard

The models can be also built as Serberys Raiders, Pteraxii Skystalkers, and Skitarii Rangers, which will allow you to strengthen your existing armies. Once again, the Combat Patrol is available for $160.

Dice, Terrain, and Codex Worth the Money

Adeptus Mechanicus players will be happy to know that they can buy the new models along with the 10th edition Adeptus Mechanicus Codex which features all 30 datasheets for the Adeptus Mechanicus army, along with the customary Combat Patrol and Crusade rules, five detachments, and story and art for the faction.

The Combat Patrol rules may still be downloaded individually if you don’t want to buy the entire codex. Not least, there are the Adeptus Mechanicus Datasheet Cards and Adeptus Mechanicus Dice, both authentic and handy if you don’t want to use the official Warhammer 40K app.

You may similarly be interested in purchasing the Ash Wastes Outpost for Necromunda, which makes a great fit for most terrains across the world of Warhammer 40K and is thematically spot-on with the Adeptus Mechanicus army and Combat Patrol box.
