International tabletop games publisher Lucky Duck Games has signed a worldwide localization partnership with Tangerine Games, the company informed in a press statement.

Lucky Duck Games is an influential company in the tabletop industry, providing players with many notable releases over the past years, including Chronicles of Crime, Kids Chronicles, Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy, and Destinies, among others. The partnership will be facilitated with the help of The Global Publishing Network, which is the localization and licensing branch of Lucky Duck Games.

The new partnership will begin with Tangerine Games’ first game, Nestlings, as confirmed by Lucky Duck Games director of global publishing network David Lockwood, who added:

Bryan and Brandon have a wealth of experience providing full-service media solutions to publishers and I’m excited to see them leverage these skills as they transition to publishing great games!

Nestlings is a game for 1-4 players that takes 30-60 minutes to play in which each player controls birds that are competing to dominate four vastly different biomes, fitting nicely with the developer’s overall publishing strategy and game philosophy. Tangerine Games will seek to create nature-oriented and strategic games that will be available for various age groups.

The company prioritizes games that are easy to learn yet take depth and solid decision-making to play more competitively. Tangerine Games has wanted to ensure that its products are bright and colorful, sporting a distinct artistic charm that polishes the underpinning gameplay. The choice of Lucky Duck Games is one that fits with Tangerine Games’ overall ambitions for gaining a larger foothold in larger markets.

Lucky Duck Games started in 2016 as a company that focused on creating board games that were inspired by video games. Since then, the company has been able to sell more than three million copies of its games. Notable releases include the most recent game by the company, Flamecraft, which is an endearing title about dragons setting up stalls at the marketplace and selling you all sorts of goods.

Lucky Duck Games now represents close to 60 diverse publishers and a network of 300 localization publishing partners which will allow Tangerine Games to pivot quickly in new and exciting markets for the company.
