Free League Press has announced the arrival of the long-anticipated The Walking Dead Universe Roleplaying Game which is finally available and can be scooped up on the publisher’s official website.
Survive or Tackle the Campaign Mode in The Walking Dead
The game is committed to recreating the authentic survival experience of the post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world of the game. The Walking Dead will first be available on Free League’s website, but retailers will be getting their hands on the game before long.
Backer orders are going to be prioritized, the company informs, but production should match demand easily, Free League say in their official press statement introducing the game.
The art is excellently wrought to fit the grim and adrenaline-pumping world of The Walking Dead with the Roleplaying Core Rules and Starter Set games being tremendously beautiful, and frankly, reminding us of The Last of Us.
The game comes with two exciting modes – campaign and survival. The Campaign will require players to come together and overcome difficulties as they tread through the undead world filled with dangers – from lack of crucial supplies to flesh-eating carnivorous shuffling corpses.
The Survival Mode will crank up the heat and try to, well, survive in the face of encounters inspired by the TV show.
Check Out the Game at PAX Unplugged 2023
The game utilizes the Year Zero Engine, which has already been successfully implemented in numerous previous releases, including the Blade Runner RPG, Alien RPG, Tales from the Loop RPG, Mutant: Year Zero, Forbidden Lands, and more.
Free League has collaborated closely with AMC Networks, which produces the show, and Chief Content Officer for The Walking Dead Universe Scott M. Gimple. The game is released just in time for PAX Unplugged 2023 which will be taking place on December 1-3 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Free League will be at Booth: #3037.
