The gripping if somewhat drawling entry in the wargame genre that is Axis & Allies is set to return with the help of Renegade Game Studios, which will be bringing fresh versions of the original conflict game.

Axis & Allies Second Editions Arriving

The studio will release a limited-edition version of Axis & Allies: 1914, with German and British infantry miniatures along with 20 additional plastic chips, and errata & updates of the rulebook for a complete experience unpunctuated by bickering over obscure wording.

The 2-5 player game will have players assume control over some of the most influential nations in the conflict, including France, Russia, the British Empire, Germany, Turkey, and so on, and try to steer the battle in their own way, but undoubtedly pushed towards the predetermined ending as is in history.

Yet, players are free to make their own choices and to try to win with their faction regardless of actual historic events, and this is the beauty of Axis and Allies. Even though the game follows historic context and implements it beautifully into its core gameplay, players still feel that they are in control to push the action in any direction they see fit, or muster sufficient resources to achieve a breakthrough.

Apart from Axis & Allies: 1914, Renegade Game Studios will be bringing a whole lot of excellent reimaginations of the franchise, including a second edition for Axis & Allies: 1941, Axis & Allies: 1940 Pacific, and Axis & Allies 1940 Europe, as well as Axis & Allies: 1942, each copy oozing with military and strategic potential.

Completely New Theatre of Battle Coming

The studio is also looking to have some freshness added to the franchise as well. A new yet undetermined copy of Axis & Allies will also be published with four options provided by the company in a poll. The four choices are Operation Market Garden, North Africa, Eastern Front, and Battle of Stalingrad.

The new theaters of battle are bound to be as exciting and nerve-wracking as their predecessors, enriching the entire franchise with new ways to engage in some of the most fraught moments in human history while leading your faction to victory – whether you are on the right or wrong side of history.
