Funko Games and Prospero Hall have revealed a new cooperative board game based on the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise and inspired by the most recent video game in the series. Now, Avatar: The Last Airbender Crossroads of Destiny is a new tabletop experience that will follow the Nickelodeon animated series and allow you to write your own adventure in the franchise’s universe.
The Last Airbender – An Immersive Tabletop Gaming Experience
The game allows three players to get in the shoes of the heroes of Team Avatar-Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph, with all characters mastering their skills, striking new alliances, and working together to vanquish the Fire Nation.
There is plenty of meat on the bone in this new tabletop experience as it features 15 narrative encounters and 12 replayable combat challenges modeled after The Last Airbender world. You can engage in a story-driven mode or try the multi-game option instead. Players will further get to enjoy custom components, unlock new unique character abilities and skills, and meet their favorite heroes and villains based on the show.
The game itself is going to be arriving at some point this summer, with no official pre-order date set just yet. The game is designed in-house by Prospero Hall and it is set as a 45-minute game for ages 10+.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Crossroads of Destiny uses a booklet to quickly set the terrain and each individual encounter, as well as to offer you easier access to the immersive experience that the game sets out to create.
Prospero Hall has insisted on creating a game that can be played by players who are unfamiliar with The Last Airbender franchise but can still appreciate it and even get interested in it.
