Portal Games’ “Eleven” has been one of the most successful “football/soccer” management games. Reminiscent of the great video games in the same genre, the title has created a powerful tabletop experience that simply sticks with players and in a good way, too.

More Goodies for Your Eleven Experience

Now, Portal Games is adding to the Eleven experience by bringing two new expansions, Stadium and Solo. The two expansions will add to the game in more than one way and be available for purchase on March 22, 2023.

Now, the Solo expansion is pretty much self-explaining. You get to go through 14 scenarios and enjoy them as you play along. Each scenario will put you in the shoes of a prominent manager who will try to make it to the top with his team – which may not always start at the top of the pecking order.

Meanwhile, the Stadium expansion is all about bringing more Staff, Sponsor, Objective, and Board Meeting cards. You get to enjoy 24 brand-new Stadium upgrades as well, bringing both replayability and core game value as well. Each of the expansions will cost $20 at retail price, which is a decent and affordable way to expand your gameplay.

Eleven: Football Manager Board Game is an ambitious instalment in the tabletop hobby that we can appreciate. It’s also the breakthrough story of Thomas Jansen, the designer who crafted the game and has brought many instalments to it as well.

Portal Games CEO Ignacy Trzewiczek welcomed the introduction of the new chapters to the original game and said:

The Solo expansion brings Eleven to its roots and is a truly amazing campaign. The Stadium expansion, on the other hand, takes the game to the next level, adding new cards and upgrades that will enhance the playing experience. We can’t wait to see the reactions of our fans.

The core game is fit for 1-4 players along with 60-120 minutes of playtime per sit-down. The game is viable for players aged 14+. As an exercise in club management, Eleven gets many things done well. It surely gets the whole red tape of running a club accurately with players hiring PR specialists, directors, trainers, physical therapists and the whole lot.

Players start small and they gradually increase their clout in the competitive world of the beautiful game.
