The British Columbia Lottery Corporation has announced the launch of a brand-new instant lottery game based on Days of Wonder’s critically acclaimed board game Ticket to Ride. The top prize was revealed to be for the massive amount of $50,000. The British Columbia Lottery Corporation made the announcement this Monday, and it got a lot of traction online, hyping Ticket to Ride players (and non-players) through the roof. It is highly unlikely they ever imagined playing their favorite game in this particular way.

The participation ticket’s cost was revealed to be 3$ and will include a special Pollard Banknote-designed artwork that emulates Ticket to Ride’s unique art style. Pollard Banknote Limited, the lottery partner giant behind the project, offered The British Columbia Lottery Corporation congratulations on the announcement. It was further revealed that the game will also include a wild card bonus, which will provide players with an extra chance for a cash prize. This will be the lottery industry’s first-ever instant ticket based on the critically acclaimed board game.

The Instant Lottery Game Will Have a Highly Interactive Marketing Campaign

Pollard Banknote Limited will also be taking charge of the instant ticket’s marketing campaign, which will feature a dedicated detailed, and interactive social media campaign. Additionally, the company will develop and produce a how-to-play video for The British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s official website in order to make the upcoming event easy to understand, and easily accessible for everyone.

For those unfamiliar with the board game, Days of Wonder’s Ticket to Ride is a board game in which players collect various types of trains, which they use to claim railways all across North America. Players strive to collect as many points as possible, which are determined by the length of their respective railways, but players can also collect points by completing Destination Tickets – awarded for reaching certain destinations. The player with the longest continuous railway (and with the most points) is declared the winner. Ticket to Ride’s elegantly simple and streamlined rules are suitable for all ages.
