Kickstarter has recently welcomed Homeworld: Fleet Command, the new tactical board game from Modiphius Entertainment, the publisher that gave us The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Adventure Game and Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.

Starting with an intial goal of $96,000, Homeworld: Fleet Command has already met the funding milestone and it only keeps growing with just 8 days more before the campaiign closes. So far more than $455,000 has been raised for the game. The campaign is scheduled to end on March 5th, 2023 with an estimated delivery time, for those who decide to purchase, being August 2023

Designed by Chris Birch and Nick Fallon, who also worked together on the 2016 game Airfix Battles: The Introductory Wargame, Homeworld: Fleet Command takes players on a competitive journey, introducing them in the position of admirals who are in charge of a massive space fleet.

Homeworld: Fleet Command is based on award-winning videogame series and players have the option to choose if they want to be part of the Kushan or the Taiiidan fleet and travel across the stars with 101 plastic models that come along in the box. The game also provides a variety of different ships, such as fighters, frigates, destroyers, and more. But that’s not all, your fleet can grow even larger if you add the expansion as it brings 100 additional ships for your fast-growing army.

The game is very flexible as the rules allow you to play solo, co-op, or PvP. It needs 1 to 4 players and can take 30 to 60 minutes. Homeworld: Fleet Command is also very player-friendly, as beginners can easily dive into the game and learn the rules efficiently with the 10 step-by-step scenarios that are also included in the game to make the onboarding smoother. And the best part is that you can take multiple copies of the game and create even bigger epic battles. To each their own!
