Clank! Legacy 2: Acquisitions Incorporated – Darkest Magic is going to launch its crowdfunding bid on May 2 and seek to get the fans of the franchise all fired up – and with a good reason. The new installment in the franchise is brought around by Paul Dennen, the lead designer of the Dune: Imperium series, a masterpiece in their own right.
Commenting on the roll out of the upcoming campaign, Dire Wolf Digital president Scott Martins welcomed the opportunity to continue build upon Clank! Legacy’s fan reception and provide players with even more worthwhile experiences in the same franchise. Martins said:
We’re happy to get back to the adventure, strategy, and hijinks, and most of all, to be able to bring exciting Acq Inc franchise opportunities to your area.

Penny Arcade co-founder Jerry Holkins, whose company collaborates with Dire Wolf Digital on the clank franchise, added that he was excited that the company had sought Penny to build a second legacy deckbuilder set in the Clank! Universe.
“When they got back to me months later, they showed me something incredible. And now, with the second Clank! Legacy, they’ve done it again,” Holkins said. Dire Wolf has a long history of producing excellent games, with Clank just one of them.
Apart from Dune, Dire Wolf has been able to bring games to tabletop and digital, including blockbuster board games such as Sagrada, Root, Everdell, and Eternal: Card Game.
