Dire Wolf’s family of games has been fast expanding with the company pushing into both the digital and physical tabletop formats. Fresh off the heels of Gen Con, the company has announced a slew of new games that are coming to both the real and digital worlds, with some of the big ticket board games teased by the company including The Wheel of Time Tabletop Game, The Dragon Prince Tales of Xadia Roleplaying Game, and Invincible: The Hero-Building Games, among others.
There is also a long list of digital adaptations that are also arriving for PC and other platforms, with Clank! Digital planned by the studio. The adaptation of Clank! A Deck Building Adventure will be available for early access to Kickstarter backers. Dire Digital is also working on My Lil’ Everdell Digital by Tabletop Tycoon and will introduce the video game adaptation as a standalone product.
Another big ticket announcement here is the digital adaptation for Isle of Cats by The City of Games! A beloved tabletop experience, Dire Digital will be bringing this as a dedicated video game as well. Speaking of even bigger digital release, the company is rolling out Cascadia Digital by Flatout Games, the Speil des Jahres winner, which has created a simple yet deeply satisfying experience for crowds to enjoy.
Feuerland’s Ark Nova will also be getting a digital makeover, expanding the library of available titles by the company, along with a Munchkin Digital Release. The crown jewel for some will definitely be Dune: Imperium, which will get its digital makeover on Steam and feature tournaments, leagues, and leaderboards, as Dire Wolf is going to try and build a vibrant community around the game.
The company has been already very successful in doing so with Eternal, one of the most ambitious card game projects by the studio that has ongoing support, tons of prized tournaments, and so much more.
Eternal was also released as a deck building board game in retail, but a comment by Dire Wolf Digital to Meeples Herald some time ago clarified that the two games were designed as a distinctly different experiences. The Clank franchise has been growing all the while with Dire Wolf having tons of new games introduced as well.
A new game, Wild Tiled West, was also featured at Gen Con 2023 and is now already listed on the official website. As to the other games announced in the project, they will be added in due time. Dune Imperium: Uprising, a standalone game expansion to the original Dune: Imperium, is also coming.
Other digital adaptations by the company include Root, Everdell, Yellow & Yangtze, Raiders of the North Sea, Lotus, The Fox in the Forest, Sagrada, Lanterns, Wings of Glory, and so many more.
