Guess what? Marvel isn’t going to be the only game in town when it comes to deck-building… erm games. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and DC have teamed up to launch the dedicated Kickstarter campaign for DC Deck-Building Game: Justice League Dark.
Latest Installment in DC Deck-Building Game Now on Kickstarter
At the time of writing, the campaign has raised $356,239 from 2,030 backers and still has 24 more days to go. The new campaign is launched with Cryptozoic Entertainment, which is a company specializing in the development of trading cards, collectibles, and tabletop games, along with some of the best Rick and Morty board games.
It follows the previous one rolled out last year which raised $1 million – DC Deck-Building Game 10th Anniversary. The new campaign offers players to pledge for a bunch of goodies – including DC Deck-Building Game: Rivals – Shazam! vs. Black Adam fit for two players. Another option is DEC Deck-Building Game: Rebirth, which is an expansion inspired by Legion of Doom.
There are also card sleeves and playmats to go along. Commenting on the new release, Cryptozoic VP of product development & marketing Shahriar Fouladi spoke highly of the opportunity to introduce brand new games to the franchise and offer what he described as unforgettable experiences:

Get Mystical with the DC Universe
A big consideration in the new Kickstarter campaign has been player feedback which has been factored in deploying the latest game as well. In DC Deck-Building Game: Justice League Dark, players will get to experience the mystical aspects of the universe, playing in the shoes of Zatanna, Doctor Fate, Wonder Woman, John Constantine, and others.
The game itself also comes with two covers, one of which is done by Raymond Gay and is a Kickstarter exclusive and the other, a standard one, the work of the talented Ryan Benjamin. Both are cool and worthwhile, but if you want to have a slightly more unique product, the one by Gay could be the go-to option.
