Mixlore, a studio owned by Asmodee, has announced the arrival of a new board game inspired by the popular Netflix series Bridgerton. In “Bridgerton: The High Society Game,” three to six players will compete in the regency era and hope to find their match in terms of eligible marital prospects.

Step into the Regency Era and Find Your Match

Participants will have to juggle the times’ social mores and conduct, trying to secure the perfect match based on attributes such as prestige love, and desirability. Each player will have to receive a marriage proposal by the end of the game, with the highest-scoring player becoming the winner as well.

Inspired by the Emmy-nominated Netflix show, the game leverages clever mechanics to make it a good fit for players who may not have seen the series, or the novel it’s based on. Still, the game promises a bit for everyone.

Mixlore has already collaborated with Netflix in the past, delivering four distinct games inspired by the platform’s franchises. Meanwhile, Bridgerton: The High Society Game is expected to hit the shelves of Walmart as an exclusive release on August 1. The game is already gathering sufficient traction and it is expected to be a hit. A Mixlore spokesperson said that the game has been designed to create vivid and immersive experiences, adding:

Players will feel like they have stepped into the Regency era, as they navigate the game’s unique and strategic challenges to find their perfect match.

The company promises many hours of deep and strategic play. The game plays in 30 minutes and is suitable for ages 16+. The game is expected to have an MSRP of $25

Previous successful releases by Mixlore inspired by Netflix shows include The Queen’s Gambit and Squid Game
